Minutes for April 27, 2005 Meeting

  - Radio Room Access
  - Radio Demonstration Event

Radio Room Access

  The first order of business was access to the room. This is a rather
  hot topic right now considering not even the officers can get into the
  radio room without prior arrangement. This has been the case for about
  three weeks.

  Our VP and club advisor have been keeping a continuous dialog open with
  the EE Department to restore access to the room.

Radio Demonstation Event

  KF6JBP suggested holding a ham radio demonstration event on the lawn
  next to the tower to get the word out.

Ham Radio Course

  There was significant interest in the club sponsoring a technician
  study session on campus.

Field Day 2005

  Most of the membership is off doing other things and at other Field
  Day sites this year. If the alumni wish to use the call this year,
  they are more than welcome to. There is a possibility a couple
  students might join the alumni if that is the case.

Elections 2005-2006

  We're having elections for the next school year. Nominations have
  opened and will close in two weeks on May 11 when the election is held
  at our last meeting of the academic year.
